New Custom Homes in Harrisburg, South Dakota

Located in the County of Lincoln

Harrisburg is a city in Lincoln County and is a suburb of Sioux Falls. If you live in the town then you will want to know about its history which is rich with legends. One such story involves the infamous John Dillinger, who it is said to have robbed the local bank. Before he left he fired a round into the counter, the shot was meant to discourage others from following him out. The bullet hole remains there today. There is much debate on whether or not it was actually Dillinger who fired the shot, however the bullet hole remains in place as proof of Harrisburg’s rich history. Since Harrisburg is only a few minutes south of Sioux Falls, residents benefit from all the shopping, jobs, services, recreational and entertainment benefits of the large city. Harrisburg offers great schools for highschool and younger students with excellent extracurricular activities. The Harrisburg school district currently has one high school, two middle schools, and five elementary schools.
