Each program offers $15,000 toward a new Nielson home. You choose how to use it. Apply it to the price of your home or put it toward our Enhancement Program for upgrades like blinds and appliances.
Hometown Heroes
For First Responders
You’re the first to show up when it matters most. If you’re a firefighter, dispatcher, EMS or police officer in a community where Nielson builds homes, you qualify for this program.

Hometown Heroes can be combined with the City of Sioux Falls Public Safety Down Payment Assistance Program. To confirm eligibility for the Assistance Program, reach out to the City of Sioux Falls Housing Division. If City funds run out, your $15,000 from Nielson still stands.

Teachers give our kids a place to grow. We want to give them one too. If you teach or work in a school district where Nielson builds homes, you qualify for this program.

Reach out to a Nielson Realtor on our Home Concierge team to identify which program fits you. At this time you’ll provide verification, such as employer ID or proof of service.

Browse our move-in-ready and pre-designed homes across our communities.
Choose Your Credit
Apply your $15,000 to the price of your home or to our Enhancement Program.
Move In
We’ll guide you from offer to closing, then hand you the keys.
One credit per home purchase. Programs may be combined with other offers such as Home Allowance offers. Eligibility verification required. Available on all Nielson Construction homes. Credit must be selected at the time of purchase agreement. Nielson Construction may modify or end these programs at any time. Contact our team for full details. The City of Sioux Falls program is separate, has its own terms and is limited to available funds; the City confirms eligibility for the Public Safety Down Payment Assistance Program.
